Specialising in the application of traditional geoscience skills, the Merlin team has a geographically broad and technically detailed knowledge base. Experience in depth and breadth
Members of Merlin's staff have previously held senior technical and managerial positions in major and independent oil companies both in the UK and at international locations. The skills and experience of our team allow Merlin to provide technical and project management support to clients across all stages of the asset cycle. Projects carried out for our clients have included exploration, appraisal and development geoscience programmes carried out in a tightly integrated fashion, utilising a wide range of specialist contractors and appropriate technical software. In addition, Merlin specialises in managing asset acquisition and disposal activities for our clients. In the years since our establishment, Merlin has participated in projects covering many hydrocarbon provinces worldwide, encompassing many and varied petroleum systems. Merlin has been active in both onshore and offshore areas, in extensional and compressional basins and in both clastic and carbonate dominated provinces.

A team of  associates, experienced both in petroleum geoscience and related fields, can be called upon to complement Merlin's in-house skills.  Best in class support can also be sourced from specialist consultancies on an as-needs basis. Merlin can therefore offer the complete range of E&P services, including reservoir engineering and commercial analysis.

Selective use of technology
Merlin has invested in industry standard seismic and geological workstations, which are supported in-house. Merlin will apply technology selectively and only where there are clear technical and commercial benefits for our clients.
