There is just one week to go until DEVEX 2022. The theme of the conference is 'Developing the Future – Powering the Energy Transition to 2050', and asks the question 'What will our wells and fields look like going forward?' Merlin will be exhibiting both days of the conference. Come along, say hello and see if Merlin can help you with your geoscience, geochemistry or data management needs.
Happy 24th Birthday Merlin! For nearly a quarter of a century we have provided quality consulting to our clients and have grown and adapted substantially over this time, now covering geoscience, data management and, most recently, geochemistry and carbon sequestration services. We look forward to many more years supporting companies and have lots more exciting developments to come - watch this space.
DEVEX 2022 is taking place Tuesday 10th - Wednesday 11th May 2022, and Merlin will be there! Come along to our stand and have a chat to Bill Wilks, Paul Taylor and Sandy Smith about all your geoscience, geochemistry and data management needs. We are looking forward to seeing you there.

The latest Triassic to earliest Jurassic interval is one of the ‘Big-Five’ extinction events of the Phanerozoic. The most recent issue of the Proceedings of the Geologists’ Association (PGA) (volume 136, part 2) comprises a thematic set of papers focused on this interval in Northern Ireland. Merlin’s resident stratigrapher, Dr Phil Copestake, co-authored four of the papers through his research collaborations with Dr Ian Boomer (Geosciences Research Group, University of Birmingham). It was a pleasure to be able to attend Prospex 2020 in December last year, albeit virtually. In addition to hearing about prospects available for farm-in, there were discussions of what a net zero future may mean and opportunities to catch up with colleagues and clients. Read more about our take-homes from the conference in our newsletter.
Merlin Energy Resources Limited is pleased to announce the completion of the landmark PIP-PAD IS16/04 project “The Standard Stratigraphic Nomenclature of Offshore Ireland: An Integrated Lithostratigraphic, Biostratigraphic and Sequence Stratigraphic Framework”.
