John Donato, one of the founder members of Merlin and now semi-retired, has been spending some of his newly-found spare time working with the Beneath Britain Research Group run by Oxford University and the UK Geophysical Library (UKOGL). He has recently published a paper on the Beneath Britain website describing a gravity and magnetic profile spanning central England and extending from the Cheshire Basin to the North Sea coast.
